Good News at Last!!

A quartet of “experts” in the world of Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Accounting and Banking have teamed up to bring to the investor market – new, innovative, growing and exciting business opportunities from start-up, evolving and established commercial businesses.

Starting in Birmingham, the team of McGregors Corporate, (,  Else Solicitors LLP, ( , Citizen Corporate Finance Limited (, and in conjunction with BA Capital, ( and RBS/Nat West ( are bringing together members of the investor community, business professionals and associated angel group representatives to view a showcase of investment and funding opportunities.

This will be the start on an exciting platform for businesses to “sell” themselves and their company, detailing their products and services to interested parties who can see and share their vision and potential.  In order to ensure the high quality of these businesses, each one will have been through an assessment panel, received advice and feedback as to their strengths and areas of need and development, before being placed into the “arena” of the attendees at our event.

Do you wish to be party to an exciting and new “club” – no membership, but to show your commitment, we are seeking attendees to commit to turning up as places will be limited to ensure maximum positive results for the businesses involved.

Our first event and launch of the “Midlands Investor Network” will be in January 2011, (date, to be advised) taking place at The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, 4th Floor, 2 St Philips Place, Birmingham, B3 2RB at 6.30pm.  We will showcase between 6 and 8 business opportunities.

RSVP your attendance to Your cost will be £10, payable on the day.  If you wish to bring a guest, please provide the details with any dietary requirements.  Please note that we will expect a huge response to this, so there will be a need to act quickly.

Businesses looking for investment and seeking to be part of the event should send details to Steven Mugglestone at McGregors Corporate, .

As this is a new and evolving venture, we are looking for the views of the business and investment sectors to develop the Network and its aims and goals.  We would therefore, ask for comments and views on whether the private sector can now successfully take on the development of early growth funding, that has previously been co-ordinated by the public sector and related development agencies, what are the challenges and pitfalls that the private sector may face, and do the business, start-up enterprises and investor community need to have such a forum.
